Hey, welcome to my blog!
I’m currently living and working in Whistler on the International Experience Canada working holiday visa to do a ski season here with my fiance, Kyle. Then it’s onto the US for our next adventure, then to Brazil for the World Cup then a spot of travelling around South America then who knows?!
This blog is to keep my family and friends back home updated on what we’re up to (and to rub it in a little!), and to hopefully encourage people to get out there and do something amazing too!
Thanks for visiting, feel free to follow to get updates of new posts š
Sounds like an exciting adventure, Laura! Will you be in working Whistler?
Hey, Yes I will be hopefully! Not sure what I’ll be doing, as long as I’m in Whistler for the season I’ll be happy!
I love your blog. Was reading your blogs on your trip to Whistler, your photos are amazing. Can’t wait to get out there (though got a while to wait yet!)
Thanks for stopping by š
Hi Laura, I know this is last minute, but I am heading up to Whistler for this weekend. Leaving from Seattle this afternoon and will be in Whistler through Sunday. Would love to make a blog-world connection if you are available. Email me at onthistrail [at] gmail [dot] com if you are interested.

Hi Laura,
Great blog! I’ve enjoyed reading all your posts and it’s making me want to travel even more! š
My boyfriend and I are looking to do a season in Whistler this year – did you get a job through TWHC and what’s it like being a couple there? We’re a little worried it’s too much like a student lifestyle in terms of accommodation, which we don’t really want. Especially as a couple!
Any info and tips would be greatly appreciated!
– Rachael
Hey Rachael. glad you’ve found the blog useful š Yeah we went through TWHC, would recommend them just not the cheapest way to do things. Being a couple there was fine. We had the same reservations but we had an incredible 6 months. You’ll probably want to stay in Brio staff housing though, it can feel less studenty than glacier. We loved it in brio. You can get a private apartment or we shared with two other people but just had our own room and that was fine.
Feel free to ask me any more questions. It’s seems like a distant memory for me now as I’m back into my normal routine in the UK. So a bit of advice – make the most of it and don’t come back haha
Haha thanks so much Laura. It’s a great help to hear from a fellow UK boarder who’s already done it š Biro definitely sounds more suited to us! Hopefully I’ll be blogging from Whistler later this year!! š
Sorry Laura, one more question…did you request to live in Biro and how can it be guaranteed you’d live there? – R
Yeah we requested to live in Brio. It’s not guaranteed, but we didn’t know of anyone that didn’t get in. Lots of couples there!
